2 Hours in Paris – Eiffel Tower

2 Hours in Paris: It is easy to pass time at a large airport such as Charles de Gaulle, where there are plenty of facilities – but in a metropolis such as Paris, the opportunity to maximise a stopover by going into the city is too good to miss.

On one such opportunity, I decided to fit in a quick visit to the Eiffel Tower during my layover, in which there was a 4 hour gap between flight arrival and departure.

With only 2 hours in Paris, I managed to take a few photos of the major landmark just after sunrise, before the crowds arrived. As soon as my mission was complete, we headed straight back to the airport.

The total journey lasted just under 2 hours on a Christmas morning, with traffic on the way back considerably busier.

The advantage of taking a taxi is the luxury experience of Mercedes as well as the additional sights on the way, such as Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées.

As the saying goes, Bon Voyage!
