For any business in Dubai, being a member of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry offers a wealth of benefits.  Formed in 1965, it is one of the longest established chambers of commerce in the UAE, promoting Dubai as an international hub and supporting business development through a range of services and initiatives.

Today, the numbers speak for themselves, with the membership count gradually increasing to reach 135,000.  This major milestone was announced by H.E. Abdulrahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber, at the Ramadan Business Networking Suhoor, hosted at Dubai World Trade Centre.  It was attended by H.E. Hamad Buamim, Director General, Dubai Chamber, as well as prominent members of the local business community and media.

We were informed that promising figures with reference to Dubai Chamber’s data for the first half of 2012 indicated that Dubai is continuing to make good economic progress.  The Chairman also highlighted Dubai Chamber’s role in supporting the business community by strengthening the partnership between the private and public sectors, which he believes is the real driving force behind the success of Dubai’s economic growth.

Members of Dubai Chamber represent a variety of economic sectors, and businesses established with a commercial license excluding free zone areas are automatically eligible for membership, although the option is also available to companies within free zones.
